Life at our house
Well, your Papa/Pa is falling apart. We went to a hand specialist on Monday. He has arthritis very bad in both thumbs. He seems to get problems in pairs. The Dr. said that arthritis is rated on a scale of 1-4. His is a high 3 in the left thumb and a mid 3 on the right. So he gave a shot in the left thumb....it hurt really bad.. And had the therapist make some braces for both of them that he is to wear for two weeks. Then we go back and they will decide what they are to do. Most likely they will fuze the joint on both thumbs. That will take away some of the mobility, but will take away the pain. He hurts so bad that he has trouble holding on to things. It's the pits getting old.

that's way too bad! i guess wearing braces on your thumbs would make him pretty useless around the house, but so is not being able to hold things because of the pain. mom and i and the kids will probably come up there next weekend to help out what we can.
